Live an immersive experience !
Follow step by step the making of the famous secure and anti-theft Arsayo backpack. The Porto workshop, in the north of Portugal, offers "handmade" production for the Suber collection (cork backpack).
Our workshop respects local and European labor law.
It's a small family business (just like us) founded about ten years ago.
Each employee works on different workstations: cutting, sewing, assembly, quality control
In our workshop, the floor is cork in two different colors.
This material is also used in construction and furniture for its many qualities:
solidity, tightness, soundproofing.
The new machines are ready for cutting and sewing!
The cutting is done directly in the workshop using molds specially designed for the shape of the Arsayo backpack. Here is an overview of the shooting and our director in action!
The different parts of the bag are glued together by hand. The parts are glued (vegan water-based collar) and are sorted by size and color to move on to the next step, assembly.
The organic cotton we use for the inner lining of all Arsayo backpacks is woven in Portugal and sewn in our workshops. We add YKK zippers (certified nickel free).
The next step is the assembly of all interior and exterior elements.
Everything is done by hand on specially calibrated sewing machines for the manufacture of the Arsayo backpack.
The 4 people working in this position have years of experience.
Last step: quality control
Once the Arsayo backpack is made, it goes through quality control. Everything is checked several times! We make sure that all Arsayo bags are made with the best quality.
